.The book "Newcomers' Accomplishments: Jewish Immigrants from Upper Hungary/Slovakia (1806-1953)" describes successful first generation immigrants to the United States, Canada, Australia, Israel and several European countries.
Their accomplishments were in literature, journalism, religion, politics, philanthropy, international law, science, medicine, architecture, visual arts, performing arts, music, business, economics and information technology. Portraits of the individuals are presented, as well as images of art and architecture. This includes photographs of numerous buildings designed in  New York City by the architect Emery Roth, taken by the author in 2014.
